Welcome

I've been looking for some other CP/IP (Chronic/Intractable Pain) patients who would like to contribute to this site, whether one time, sporadic, or regularly. If anyone is interested, please email me at IntractablePainKills@gmail.com

I'm also open to any suggestions about improving the blog.

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO COMMENT ON ANY POST, PLEASE CLICK ON THE TITLE TO LOAD THE INDIVIDUAL POST.

DUE TO A GLITCH IN BLOGGER, MY POSTS DO NOT ALWAYS POST IN ORDER BECAUSE THEY POST USING THE TIME THAT I STARTED THE INITIAL DRAFT. I DO MY BEST TO CORRECT THIS WHENEVER POSSIBLE, HOWEVER SOME SLIP BY, SO PLEASE REMEMBER TO READ THE TITLES OF MORE THAN JUST THE MOST RECENT POST IF YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS ANYTHING.

About Intractable Pain Kills

So, you may be wondering why I chose to name my blog intractable pain kills, it seems like a poor name for an upbeat story of survival. And, you wouldn't be wrong. I called it IP kills because IP kills your body, your sole, and your mind.

While IP can physically kill you by ramping up your cardiac, adrenal, and pituitary systems, IP really kills by taking away your social life, your friends, and sometimes even your ability to be intimate with your spouse (my wife and I experienced a significantly drop in our sex life from several times per day to a few times per week. Even though my heart is still beating, IP has killed me. It has taken my dignity, self respect, and, on many days, my will to live. IP kills me a little  more every time I have to tell me wife or daughter "no". It killed me when I missed my daughter's first day of kindergarten two weeks ago. It kills me that I'll never get my medical license. It kills me that I'll never help all of those people.
